The first publication about Jay Contway and his amazing body of work for The Calgary Stampede is available at Hoglund’s Work and Western Wear in Great Falls, Montana, The Phillips County Museum in Malta, Montana, The C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana, World Professional Chuckwagon Association – Racing Circuit 2024 in Canada, and Jay Contway Legacy Art in Alberta, Canada.
From 1984 to 2024, Jay Contway generated a total of 244 castings for The Calgary Stampede. This represents less than four percent of all the sculpture Jay created in his lifetime, and yet, Jay credited The Calgary Stampede with the making of his career due to the people he met, the connections he made, and sculptures he sold from his booth.
That is what this book is about, Jay Contway and his amazing body of work at The Calgary Stampede.
